Kim Brewer

Kim graduated from our Jobs for Life and Financial Peace University classes. Using what she learned and utilizing her Coach for support she was able to get a scholarship to Spoon River College for Medical Billing and Coding. Kim now has a living wage job and is able to provide for her family.

Alishia Zilch

Alishia graduated from our Jobs for Life class with the dream and intention of becoming a nurse. She was able to secure a scholarship to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and currently works full time at a nursing home. Alishia was awarded another scholarship and is currently working towards her nursing degree.

Our Personal Development Coaches work with you weekly on overcoming obstacles that prevent you from achieving your goals and dreams. Our Coaches work specifically with our Head Start, Early Head Start, Hand Up Project, and Strengthening Working Families Initiative families. If you are unemployed or under-employed, the Jobs for Life class can assist you in building skills needed for employment to provide for you and your family.  JFL is not just about finding a job, it is identifying your purpose and skills to become employable for life! 
As a graduate, you will:
Be prepared for job interviews
Create a professional resume
Complete a vocational plan
Be eligible for scholarships to learn a new trade or degree
Meet with local employers
Build a supportive network
Identify roadblocks that may be keeping you from retaining or getting a job.

Financial Peace University

We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU gives you practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!
As a graduate, you will:
Learn on how to take control of your money
Save an emergency fund (up to $1000)
Learn how to spend and save wisely
Plan for expenses (Christmas, birthdays, utilities, car insurance, etc.)
Plan for the future
